CARES and ESSER

The CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act allocates $13.5 billion to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER). These funds provide flexibility to address the various challenges that schools faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's worth noting that there is a possibility that 10% of these COVID relief funds may go unused. Learn more

Recipients: ESSER funds are allocated to every state, and school districts apply for these funds through their respective states, which subsequently disburse the funds to the schools. Notably, ESSER funds have been disbursed in three distinct rounds, and ESSER 3 funds must be allocated by September 2024.

CritterCoin's Eligibility: ESSER funds come with a high degree of flexibility and can be utilized for implementing applications that enhance student behavior and mental health. CritterCoin provides an ideal solution for schools to seamlessly implement a comprehensive SEL/PBIS and MTSS program within both physical and virtual classrooms. CritterCoin empowers teachers to reward or encourage positive behavior by issuing digital coins to students.
